The premise of this book is simply unbeatable. Nietzsche and Breuer's brewing companionship and mutual therapy is a great way to present the philosophical discourse regarding nihilism (in Europe, particularly).
The characters each have their own charm, including Freud, who plays a minor role in the story in hypnotising Breuer.
The back and forth, the rebuttals, the refusals, the acceptance, the friendship. Everything page of this book provides something to consider. And, it is loosely based off historical events as well, which makes the entire story even more interesting.
