A second chance romance. I love that both Xavier and Sophie were given so much more depth. I loved their friendship! I enjoyed their journey.

It took me a bit to get into this...

I really dislike books where the main plot is "everything that can go wrong goes wrong" and this book does exactly that and with very little resolution for many of the issues.

BUT Sophie and Xander are very cute which made up for it.

I wanted to like this and give these characters (mainly Sophie) another chance but I simply don’t like them enough. Separately I guess Xavier and Sophie are alright but they definitely don’t need to be together. It had some good ideas, but I feel like this book was trying to do a lot and it wasn’t really working.

Maybe I’ll be able to come up with a more in depth review, but if not I just want it known that I absolutely enjoyed this book, and I take back  (mostly) everything I said about Xavier and Sophie in Loveboat, Taipei afsgsgs

Another super fun, emotional and multilayered addition to this fabulous trilogy. Despite not being able to remember much about the events of book one (other than I enjoyed it) I was happy to find myself instantly drawn back into the drama filled lives of these characters. Sophie and Xavier were wonderful POV’s to follow and I’m sure I’ll happily read book three when it comes around.

If there's a way to make a sequel of a book better than the original, Abigail's got the power to do it.

First off, it's kind of required to read Loveboat, Taipei first (ie, this isn't a stand-alone book); it literally starts off at the airport where all of the attendees of Loveboat are bound to head back to their original location and moving forward with life. However, we're not continuing Ever's story; we're actually looking into the stories behind Xavier and Sophie, two side characters during Ever's time in Taipei, now being the main focus.

LOVE every single moment between Sophie and Xavier; both have their own struggles as well as their own personal wins. However, both are reunited with another trip to Taipei. LOVE how the author cleverly added new characters to the story, even though they were not part of the original Chien Tan Campus, and have them be supporting characters to Xaiver and Sophie, and how everything came full circle at the end, blending the past with the present. We also get a better understanding of Xaiver's and Sophie's past, which helps further explain Xavier's current state of mind.

Would there be a book three, seeing the perspective of the people from the Ocean campus? It COULD happen, because I'm curious to hear Bert and Priscilla's side stories, considering they were kind of the negative Nancy's of the novel.

i’ve had some preposterous ideas in my time…but i can’t say that inviting dozens of people to go to Taiwan for the WEEKEND (and no, not even a long one) has ever been one of them
