I didn't hate this book so much as it tried my patience, being loaded with tedious, superfluous detail and trying so hard to be something it wasn’t, and trapping me inside the first-person narration of a main character I DID kind of hate. I believe I'm meant to find him sympathetic, but he's just such a weasely, entitled.....gah! I hate even thinking about him.

I couldn't help comparing this book to [b:American Spirit: A Novel|15815614|American Spirit A Novel|Dan Kennedy|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1357613695s/15815614.jpg|21542121], a book I wasn’t exactly crazy about but ultimately warmed to, and it did not compare favorably. The downward spiral, such as it was, in Revised just didn't seem to follow a logical progression, and I think there were parts that were supposed to be humorous or madcap that just plain baffled me.

Suffice it to say, I don't want to give this book any more of my life with a detailed review, especially since I'm haphazardly tapping this out on my phone at bedtime. I "didn't like it," and that's that.

The book grew on me the more i read it. It's a nice sweet book about life and building relationships.

From the blurb and the first few pages, I was expecting something special. But this book never quite delivered. I was bored occasionally... rarely surprised and dissatisfied at the end. That's not to say this was a bad book. It just wasn't "Wonder".

I liked this book quite a bit. It reminded me of 'Postcards from a Dead Girl' with a definite nod to 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius.' Sadly it wasn't as good as either of the aforementioned books, but still very enjoyable. This was the ARC, by the way.

This is a fun and funny but serious at times... It feels like you are right on the road trip with Ben Benjamin and Trev! It is also a book about forgiveness believe it or not.

The book starts off with Benjamin Benjamin (yes that's his name) taking a class on care-giving because he is living off his credit card and just taking a break from life. Ben takes a job sitting with Trev a young adult with MD. Trev has routines. He watches weather channel, eats flax seed waffles, doesn't go out much. I fell head over heels for both these characters. They are funny, strong men.
I hate giving away a lot of details in books but this one includes a road trip that changes both these guys. Not in bad ways because while flawed they both were awesome to start out.
Just take my word for it. Go get it. Read it.

Die Grundidee war sehr vielversprechend, aber der Sprecher klingt so gelangweilt und einschläfernd, dass ich das Hörbuch abbrechen musste.
