This was an amazing story of the danish involvement in helping the Jewish escape nazi occupied Denmark during WW2.
I could listen to Sandi narrate the dictionary and be engrossed but to know that this story was partly based on true family events made it even more interesting.
This is definitely a story everyone should know.

I listened to this as an audiobook, which was read by the author. It is a series of family recollections of the German occupation of Denmark during WWII, stitched together as a story with some admitted poetic licence, where there were gaps. It is at times tense, but gives a realistic view of the times, with Sandi Toksvig's customary flair and light touch.
