I quite enjoyed the audiobook version of this one, and the diving back into Ani’s past and what happened at high school as part of the documentary. I was completely shocked by what had happened to her in high school and how she strived above all. I thought it was a good read overall.

I enjoyed the film and I then picked up the book to fill in the gaps. It might have dragged on a little, but overall it was a worthy “palette cleanser” (a book read between more serious or ambitious reads).

This book had a lot to it. It was painful to get through. The narrator is highly unlikable. There are all these secrets that never actually get revealed. There’s so many freaking triggers!! This is 3.5 rounded down.
