This collection of short stories is adapted by some awesome artists. I enjoyed two of the stories much more than the other two.
I really liked “I, Droid” by Haruichi, the artist behind the Leia manga I also loved. I think the concept was interesting and well executed. It’s fun to see what R2 also got up to in the ‘time in between’ movies.
I also really enjoyed “Big Inside” by Akira Himekawa, the artist behind the Legend of Zelda mangas as well. Their art is just so visually pleasing to me. And this story, narrated by an unnamed biologist, was really interesting and delved into Luke’s psyche.
I didn’t care for the art of “The Starship Graveyard” so it made it less enjoyable for me personally. On the flip side, I liked the art of “The Tale of Lugubrious Mote” but didn’t care for the story at all.
Overall a fun collection for any Star Wars and manga lovers!

I have not read the book from which this is adapted from so I can't really judge on that.
This manga adaptation consists of 4 short stories each drawn by different people resulting in very distinctive art styles and identities for the stories.
My personal favorite, by story and art, is "I, Droid' by Haruichi. My least favorite, also by story and art, is "The Tale of Lugubrious Mote" by Subaru. It's drawn a bit too simplistic for my tastes and the story doesn't offer anything new as it's a scene from a movie retold from a different but not very interesting perspective. It doesn't really fit in with the other three.
