Ok, this was a tough one to review, mostly because it was tough to read. So, so, so dark. So twisted. Full of triggers. Child abuse, in MANY forms, torture, amputation...and yet. It was a really well thought out mystery and the way things tied together in the end left me shocked. A great, scary read for people with hearts of stone and stomachs of iron, I suppose.

This was really good. Really good. It was one of the few thrillers I've read lately that I truly didn't know who the killer was until it was revealed. It was LONG, though, and I'm not sure if the length was necessary, so because of that I'd give it 4/4.5 stars. But then again, I'm not sure what could be taken out. Excellent thriller!
