A hard read. The subject matter was hard, and it felt jarring and the amount of events in the book made me feel like I was bracing myself on a roller coaster. I don't usually shy away from hard for me.  topics but this was a bit much for me As an audio book, this was hard for me to follow the descriptions of things like guns, or medical procedures. The writing was good, and obviously got me interewted in how it would turn out, just a lot of trigger warnings on this one.

I can understand why someone wouldn't like this book. It's dark and at points difficult to read due to content. However, for me, I read this book at a time when I really needed it.

I did not realize what this book was about and if I had I wouldn't have picked it up. I find myself wondering what the point of this story was supposed to be. The only reason I finished this book was because I foolishly had hope that things would turn around for the main character at some point.

Wow. Its hard to describe this book. It was beautifully written and just heartbreaking. I absolutely loved Turtle. The ending wasn't bad and I know it left questions for a reason I just wanted more. To know Turtle was going to be okay. I'll probably update my review later because I'm having a lot of thoughts about it.
