This is absolutely fantastic stuff, here. There's tons of layers to everything going on, and I love the various "moving parts" to the plot; there are, like, 6 or 7 subplots that are building to something, and it's fantastic. It helps that Allred's art is absolutely divine, and that the characters are all a ton of fun.t

Meh... I'll read Volume 4 because I already have it, but mostly just to say that I gave these books every change I could. I don't really care about the characters at all, the quirkiness has stopped being cute and endearing, and the pacing is all over the place. The art is still good and there were still a few chuckles to be had so it's not a total loss, and they're really quite simple and easy to read so it's not like a huge burden to take an hour to read a volume, but there's also nothing really compelling or interesting enough to make me salivate over this series like I've seen some others do. Maybe I've just read so many comics over the years that I've become jaded? Maybe I'm not the target audience for this story? Or maybe it's just not very good... I don't know, but I'm getting over it fast.

This was fun but not as entertaining as the previous issues, it felt dragged at times and that's saying something since graphic novels are usually super fast-paced.

Well, I was a little worried after the last one which I felt wasn't very well organized that I might end up more confused, this was coherent and pulled strings together for me that had been dangling. This was definitely funny in between the moments of drama, sadness, nostalgia, and gore. Looking forward to volume 4!
