In this first installment of the sequel series to Fablehaven, the dragons no longer feel safe as they once did. Their king, Celebrant the Just is plotting revenge to bring the dragons back to safety. This book is filled with familiar characters, adventure and a journey that Fablehaven fans won’t soon forget.

Thanks to School Library Journal for a review copy of this book.

Mr. Mull is one talented writer. Again, how is Fablehaven not yet adapted for the big screen??

I'm on page 64 of 384 of Dragonwatch: I am giving up on this book. From the beginning the character of Seth has annoyed me. I have also always been annoyed by the use of "doing stupid things advances the plot". That's all Seth does, be dumb. Well, I'm not finishing this book.

A good addition to a new start in the world of Fablehaven. If I was unaware of this being a new series I would never have been able to tell the difference between the two series.

That being said, as an older reader and a fan of the original series I would have preferred a time jump between the two, perhaps even just a year or two as a way of speeding up the character growth so they didn't feel exactly the same.

Another good book from Mull. A very solid start to Fablehaven’s sister series. It’s biggest faults is that it is in fact the start of a new series so lots of things needed to be restated, which isn’t anyone’s fault. Leaves off on a fun cliffhanger and I’m excited to dive into this next series!
