The information on completing the stress cycle was new to me and pretty useful, but the rest of the book repeated mostly-known self-care talking points, and I just couldn't get on board with the way they used the Madwoman in the Attic metaphor 😅. The book is full of good tips and information but I don't have any more idea about where I can find the time to fit in these tips (exercise every day, pay attention and slow down at meals, etc.) as a working parent of two kids under 5. Maybe one day!

I didn't find this book particularly impactful. It felt quite basic, and I struggled to extract much value from it. The narrative jumped between various topics, which made it hard to see how they connected back to the central theme of burnout. I believe it would have been more effective to focus on a few key topics and explore them in greater depth, discussing different ways to reflect and improve in those areas.

While there were many personal stories shared, I found that I couldn't relate to most of them, and they didn't resonate with me. The content might be useful for someone just beginning their self-care journey, but much of the information felt obvious or even a bit cringe-worthy.

Additionally, I listened to the audio version, and I found the narration somewhat off-putting; it didn't quite sit right with me. Overall, this book wasn't for me.
