A combination of Goblin Emperor, Ella Enchanted, and NK Jemisen’s stone eater trilogy. A lot of graphic violence though (gorey, but not sexualised or anything like that).
Suicide ideation (prevented by other characters)
I really liked this book. I regretted only having like 2 main female characters. And no gays :/ For the most part, pacing was excellent. I felt like the end had a little too much detail and got bogged down a little. Overall, great book.
I also liked how it dealt with themes of abuse, retribution, autonomy, and revenge. If you love Bucky, i think you’ll like the main character.
