No ew like I'm not into cheating bt cheating and being entitled it's extra disgusting. From the few first pages I hate the girl because so far she gave no reason why she is swindling two guys and NO dnt say pity the way she insults and treats her husband coldly dsnt say a person who pities the other and the therapist is shit like bitch yeah her husband is a dick bt dnt come here and tell me he dsnt deserve her when all u want is fuck her.

i don't know what to rate this????
i liked Charley sometimes, i didn't like her sometimes. i feel like she was quite literally going from one rship to another & it made me extremely uncomfortable bcz i feel like she needs to hold her own. she jus wasn't the independent, got everything under control woman i was expecting to see. i think towards the end of the book she reaches close to that woman but idk, i guess ill see in the next book
the spice was rlly good but most of this book was just spice & i was like??? gimme sum plot, don't be shy-
& initially it was like Will jus saw a vulnerable, but beautiful woman & fell for that person, he literally knew nth ab her & even when he started getting to know her, there was jus A LOT OF trauma to understand. there was no depth to her as a character she grew up to be, i feel like. but one thing i know is that she is rlly strong for everything she went/got thru.
i know in the book, she was intentionally written as the woman who gave up everything for her marriage & is working thru it but i feel like she should have invested more in herself when she decided to end the marriage, not on her rship w Will
i saw the plot twists coming from a mile away tho. i genuinely thought id rlly love this book esp after love unexpected but nth comes close to that

Holy Crap

Q.B. does not back down from telling hard truths and boy was Charley's truth a hard one. A husband who ignored her and his love language was "let me buy you this," but I don't have time for you. She agrees to marriage counseling and ends up in a triangle of sorts with her counselor and her husband. When it all comes out, Matt shows a side he's never shown before. He's lied and manipulated Charley and for what, ego? Was Charley and Will right, no but there's so much blame to go around it's crazy. I can't wait to see how it all ends up. I read and listened to the audiobook with Lacey Laurel and Alexander Neal narrating.

4.5 stars - This forbidden romance occurs between a married woman and her marriage counselor. Sometimes, love just happens…and unfortunately, this love of inconvenience might just cost him his license and his practice. The writing was so good and really detailed the thoughts and emotions that Charley had. The spicy scenes were a bit overdone, but I suppose that’s to be expected with a new romance and a sex-deprived housewife. As a psychologist myself, some of the initial interactions between the couple and the counselor rubbed me the wrong way and ethical boundaries were crossed or not considered, which is why I felt like this didn’t quite hit five stars. However, I’m ready to read the aftermath in the next book!
