A prince angsts over his family’s demand that he find a bride while he moonlights in ladies clothing. Only his talented dressmaker knows his secret… (Beautifully drawn graphic novel! Fairy tale-ish! Gender-bending! Identity issues! Sweet romance! Fashion! Courtly life!). I bought this to own and we ALL loved it (Ms. 8, Mr. 10, myself - 45 - and my partner -48).

This is an exceptional read.. I knew that I would fall inlove with both Protagonists, but I didn't expect to feel so connected to everyone. Sebastian and Francis are both unique and i love how Jen Wang expressed the topic of crossdressing. Sebastians struggle is human and so relatable and I just wanted to know if HE can accept himself. It was a journney till the End.

This was really sweet. Two teens trying to find themselves in very different circumstances. Lots of nice layers here.

This is a sweet, enjoyable tale. I loved seeing how the friendship between Frances and Sebastian unfolded, as they struggled to balance their dreams and hopes with their desire to be supportive of one another. Both characters were also working on personal development of their own - Frances in trying to determine what maturing as an artist meant for her, and Sebastian in trying to be a good prince but still be true to himself. The ending was delightful.
