Brynn and Chase felt like those really cute lovey-dovey romantics. Bryan had a crush on Chase in high school and Chase always thought of her as his best friends little sister. I loved how this book did not have the guy always-was-in-love-with-his-best-friends-little-sister-but-couldn’t-do-anything-about-it trope, because I have read too many of those and it’s not anything that gets me excited now. It was almost funny how Chase found out about Brynn’s crush on him, almost cause second hand embarrassment for Brynn.
My favourite thing about this book has to be how Chase didn’t just want to explore where things with Brynn could go. He pretty quickly realised that he liked her too much and so they started dating pretty seriously. And the best part is Cooper, I love that guy, the way he makes everyone laugh and the way he gave Chase the cold shoulder here. All in all, a really great vanilla romance, with little to no drama.

I just feel like so much and yet nothing happened?? I liked the characters, but there was no chemistry for me. It was a lot of telling the reader they liked each other without showing why? And it was pretty out of nowhere. That said, the story itself was fine although frustrating at times. I just don’t feel pulled in enough to the point I think this will be the last book I read in the series unfortunately :(

“This is too big. It’s too real. I’ve never felt anything like this before. I’m an idiot a lot of the time, but I’m not stupid enough to let you go. No matter what it costs me.”
The chemistry was slightly better in this one but the book overall was still not it... It was way too rushed, there was no build-up, no development.. nothing. The characters went from 0 to 200 in literally two chapters and by the 40% mark they'd already said their I love yous and were getting engaged, and sorry, but no amount of chemistry would justify this. Also, Cooper annoyed me in this one.. Honestly her entire family did, but Cooper took the cake! And, the writing was still not the best, so yeah.. Don't know if I wanna keep going with this series; but then again I am still intrigued by Leo so we'll see..

This family series cracks me up. Every one of these characters make me feel good. I smile, I laugh, I feel their emotions. I love that story is set in Washington. Feels like going home.
Looking forward to Cooper and eventually Leo's story.

This is one of my favorite tropes, but sadly, I was left feeling disappointed. There was little to no buildup in the relationship between Brynn and Chase, despite them having having grown up together.
