WOW! The twists and turns, the suspense, the secrets, the DRAMA!! This duet seems to have everything needed for a unputdownable book. I went in completely blind not knowing AT ALL what to expect and WOW! That was a wild ride. I am glad it turned out the way I wanted it to. I was getting nervous that there wouldn’t be a HEA. Since I went in blind and this was my first book by this author, I didn’t know if a HEA was a given or expected. So glad it paid off!!! If Cain referred to himself in third person ONE MORE TIME, I wanted to throw my kindle. Ugh so irritating but consistent with his narcissistic and psychopathic personality. Damien ended up being so much more than I thought he would be. I did want a tad more relationship development between him and Eden to make it more believeable. But - overall, GREAT DUET!!

DAMN.

So I read The Devil a year ago and completely forgot about the second book.

I'm so glad it popped back up in my list. This was ONE HELL of a twist, sexy, brutal world.

Cain? Damn that was one sick, evil bastard.

Damien? He was twisted, but genuinely good.

And Eden? Girl got a backbone this time around and she was fierce.

Such a hot and interesting story!

I came here for the revenge, not the cringe s*x scenes.

Spoilerhow is falling in love with the daughter of the woman you f*cked 100.000 of times not as wrong as her falling in love with the stepdad?????

Holy crap holy crap holy crap! If you like plot twists that rock you to your core, this series is for you! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what was going to happen next! This book is incredibly written. The ending was perfection.

The first book of the series was great and this was even better. The plot was better as were the spicy scenes. The ending was somewhat predictable but that didn't take away from the book. Probably because it was exactly what I wanted.

I didn’t care for the present timeline in the prequel, so I wasn’t sure if I would like this one. I actually ended up liking it better. It was twisted and dark (and even gross at times), but at least there was romance. I loved the mysteries and secrets. And I cheered watching Eden grow so much stronger in such a short time.
