Troy and Aspyn went to the same high school and due to a certain incident they become enemies. Ten years has passed and they are reunited and Aspyn is not pleased at all. You could have cut the tension with a knife. Aspyn held NO punches when it came to letting Troy know how she really felt.

Very enjoyable read. I took off stars because I didn't like how much of a focus there was on describing Aspyn's body as naturally curvy, but not too curvy, and there was a hyper-focus on her diet and "lifestyle" when it came to food restrictions, when that wasn't a main storyline. It just took me out of the narrative because it didn't feel necessary to drive the plot.

This enemies to lovers has some very sweet moments, some laughs, some tears and lots of emotional turmoil and self-loathing, oh and lets not forget the sexy times. The two hated each other in high school, but then some ten plus years later they are kinda forced into working together. But people can change and they soon realize that. While she sees that he's not the bad guy she once thought he was, she still has her own trust issues and guilt that she's working through and has a wall up. He understands her behavior from those school days, and has moved on from their past, but he too has some inner demons he's fighting with. The characters are all wonderfully written, as is the story itself. There are a few details that come to light later in the book, bringing some answers. The story holds your attention which makes it hard to put down. It alternates between POVs. Due to the sexual content, I'd recommend this for mature readers.

Totally enjoyed this enemies to lover story by Penelope Ward.
Troy & Aspyn were a great couple to read.
This book is filled with angst, love, sexy chemistry and a very emotional journey of them finding love with each other.
I was yelling at my kindle at these two back and forth but I fought through for them to find their happily ever after.
If you love enemies to lover books, this one is for you!

I loved this story so much. It felt very unique and special. Troy and Aspen knew each other in high school and were not on good terms. Now they are stuck together for two days a week while they accompany Troy's grandfather on special outings. In high school Troy dated Aspen’s best friend and cheated on her which lead to the hard feelings. I was hoping for a little bit more angst when it came to this, but this was barely part of the story. I enjoyed how Troy and Aspen went from enemies, to friends, then to thinking they were sleeping together without any feelings involved, to being in love. Also, Troy’s grandfather was a wonderful part of the story, him always escaping from their watch, and his lovely dating advice!

Definitely cute! I loved how they touched on change and us as humans make mistakes but we can learn and grow from mistakes and that it’s okay to forgive and forgive ourselves! Aspyn and Troy were cute! One of the better reads I’ve read by Penelope!

How do I even begin to surmise this one?!? UNEXPECTED!!!!Yup. That pretty much does it. Because I didn’t see this one coming at ALL! You can’t have a book that contains a dating app obituary, nursing home activities director, 8yr old niece whom is now in your care at 28, a mother that abandoned her son & husband after giving birth, such a love for your grandfather that you willingly work remote for 3 months( just to be able to care for him while your father is on an early retirement excursion in Europe) Oh and a high school nemesis. Definitely a page turner to say the least.
