I have read all the books in this series, so I was looking forward to this one. What I found was that this story held my interest without wavering. The author has an easy to read writing style that I have come to really love. Alex has some possible big department issues, while all the other characters we have come to love are dealing with more than one crisis. The biggest issue at hand, who is burying young women and demanding ransom funds from average families, and why? Has the past come back to cause issues for Alex or any of the others? Will this family or town ever be at peace? I didn't want to leave this story and I'm anticipating the next one. The pacing was magnificent.
