Waiting for new words from this author is always a mixture of titillating and painful. This author and her characters work themselves into my dreams. Seriously. I am not joking. If anyone that has read her work, that is again frightening and exciting. Seeing this book appear on my Kindle after hearing "soonish" as the answer to when it was going to be released was both a blessing and a curse. I needed to sleep. However, the other part of me kept chanting, "It's a Festivus Miracle".

How do I come up with the words to describe this book? I am always amazed at how the author manages to make the obscene and often times vulgar words come to life in a way that is delectable and enticing. Her world building and characters just draw me in like a mouse to cheese. She makes me want to sin with all of these salacious thoughts.

This portion of the story had a much different feel to it. Was it still filthy debauchery at its best? ABSOFRICKINGLUTELY yet it was so much more this time. Finally, I was able to get a glimpse into the minds of Caspian and Kieran not only with their thoughts but also with their actions. Some things were inferred and others were outright said. I LIKED that a lot. For so long I was questioning my sanity as to whether the only redemption to be found in these characters was in my head. It wouldn't be the first time, and I am sure it won't be the last time that Addison creates a repugnant character that plays a pivotal role.

However, and I shouldn't be saying this because this might just prompt Ms. Satan to change her mind, but I see hope in the way this story is playing out. I can see her evil mind working as I type this and that wicked smile.

This story focused primarily on interactions with Kieran and Caspian and Toby was just in the background but that still left a lot of powerplay in motion and not just with the main characters. There are other people at play in this story and I sure don't know what to make of that or their motivations. Wren is still hands down my favorite female character of any that this author writes.

I have no idea how long this story will go on or the timeline of when it will be done. I am over asking. Instead, I will just sit back and drink lots of wine as I watch this story unfold and wait for all the deliciousness to continue.

This is the fourth book in this deliciously dark series and every book drags me in deeper and deeper. The last story left me an emotional wreck, and I must say this one didn't leave me much better off. This whole series is an emotional upheaval and I'm not sure where it's going to go from here. That being said, this is a fantastic addition. There is more drama, many more surprises, some confusion (that I know will be worked out eventually), and a lot of steamy scenes. I love the way that Addison can make me a fan of one character in one story and then toss that out the window in the next. It keeps me as much on my toes about who is the good guy as it does Wren. I never know what's going to happen next. Like another reviewer said, there is a wait between the books Addison puts out, but since I'm used to waiting a year or more for some of my authors to publish the wait doesn't bother me. It just builds the anticipation for the next release, and I'm never disappointed.
If you are a fan of the Omegaverse then this story is a must read. It has all the elements of that trope with a few surprises thrown in. The story isn't a long one and it can easily be read in an afternoon, but the flow of the story line is perfect and there is no shortage on descriptions on anything. I'm already dying to get my hands on the next one.

ETA - I have removed my rating as this is yet another unfinished series by this author. I have enjoyed her work, but I can no longer support someone who repeatedly starts a series and leaves it unfinished.

Oh the lies we tell ourselves in order to stay sane

If you're thinking of reading this book then you should by now have read the previous 3 books in the series, so you will know what to expect. Or will you? Because if you've ever read an Addison Cain book then you will know that she takes great delight in trampling your emotions into the dust. She savours ripping your heart to shreds and then puts the cherry on the top with a twist that you couldn't have predicted with the help of Nostradamus and every computer in the world working on it.

This ends not so much with a cliffhanger as a tiny nugget of informational gold that could spin out in one of a hundred thousand myriad ways. Ms Cain also works her magic of changing your mind about the bad guys! My heart actually broke for Rosie, and even though Doll is causing problems, she is as much a victim as the rest are. And at heart those three men are like wounded animals, snapping and snarling to stay on top but carrying hurt in their soul. I might even be developing a soft spot for Caspian - GASP!

Oh Caspian you fool - when will you open your eyes and actually see the truth that is laid naked before you? Why is it that Toby, the maddest of them all, is the one who sees most clearly? And Kieran, what a sorry mess you have tangled yourself up in, how will you ever pick your way out of it? The more they sink down, the stronger Wren/Jax grows and this book felt like a turning point in both her life and her mindset.

Ravaged Captive wasn't as much of an emotional maelstrom which, strange as it might sound, I loved. A break from all the turbulent feelings allowed both the plot and characters to develop even further, it allowed us to see more clearly the mud caked picture before us. I'm also sure there are equal number of false leads and red herrings as there are breadcrumbs of truth and that is what makes this book, this series of books, such magnificent and captivating reading.

An 18+ read, Ravaged Captive is set in a dystopian omegaverse. It is part of an ongoing series and can not be read as a stand alone story.

Addison Cain is such an amazing author. She completely pulls you into her stories from the get go. This one was no different. I can’t wait to continue this series.

Loved it

I did not want Ravaged to end. I was ignoring everything to read it. I can't wait for the next in the series.

This is book 4 in the series and picks up right where book 3 ends. This review may have spoilers if you have not read the previous books, so I suggest skipping it until you get caught up. Each book is a little over 100 pages so they read pretty fast. The words are written in an almost poetic way. In this book Wren/Jax has just been caught (well, technically she returned) to her 'prison' where her three alpha's have been holding her as their mate, after she attempted to escape. Unfortunately for all of them, there has been a shift in the dynamics, and things aren't going as expected for anyone... and Wren is the one who is going to suffer for it, when all she's ever wanted was to be with her boys. This is an Alpha/Omega universe, so there are supernatural like elements. There is strong sexual content as well, an intended for mature readers. It also ends with another cliff hanger.

This newest installment of Wren's story is a great continuation of the story Addison has been creating for us, but it left me with so many more questions, and so much to look for in the future installments. To avoid spoilers, I can't say too much, but I enjoyed the new facets of the Alpha's we were given. It gives everything more depth, and somehow more intimacy and emotional impact. My biggest complaint was it wasn't enough, and now I have to wait for more.

Omega Perfection

Again, I have fallen for three horrible anti-heroes! These characters are so twisted it's perfect. I'm so ready to see what happens next!

The "books" keep getting shorter

So far each or the four installments of this "trilogy" are shorter than the one before it. It took less than half an hour to read this novella. I won't read another one until they're all finished, because waiting a year for less than 100 pages isn't worth the anticipation and disappointment. The writing is so wonderful and the story is fantastic, but the publishing is a big disappointment.
