This was an interesting book. I enjoyed the the first half of the book. Essentially this was the part that was written by Helen Keller herself and followed by letters by Annie Sullivan that also help tell the story in an engaging way. Unfortunately, after that the book becomes a lot more tedious to read. If I were to make a suggestion, I would say read the original version without all the extra commentary and letters.
