One of the best ways to handle adversity in life, is to observe how others handled the adversity in theirs. I try to always have a Biography/Autobiography in my stack of books that I'm reading for reasons such as this. It's more than a history of a fellow human.

An autobiography written by Helen Keller. It follows her life up to the summer after her second year of college. I learned some interesting facts about her life.

It is a charming story. Besides, if I hadn't known it was a true story, I wouldn't necessarily have believed it. Yes, it's a beautiful book, but I got bored reading it. This book meets a few lengths. The way of telling the author's life is not particularly interesting; the latter does not have a particular style that gives us a closeness to the characters, which makes the story moving. It's a shame because she could have made it into a book full of life and emotions, giving us hope and blurring our eyes with tears. Yes, too bad.

I've always loved this woman's stubbornness and determination and reading this book just made me fall even more in love with her.

This was an interesting book. I enjoyed the the first half of the book. Essentially this was the part that was written by Helen Keller herself and followed by letters by Annie Sullivan that also help tell the story in an engaging way. Unfortunately, after that the book becomes a lot more tedious to read. If I were to make a suggestion, I would say read the original version without all the extra commentary and letters.
