Passages/bits I absolutely loved:

-I lie wide awake with her attached to my back like a Jetpack, thinking of bugs being chased by bats through the sky.

-I lie in a soup of myself, wishing I could rocket into space.

-“You know, you don’t wear lipstick at all. It’s very hard to tell what’s going on.”

-“What did they name the baby?” Vin asks.
He is sitting at my desk.
“Amelia Di.”
“Isn’t that a Victorian murderer’s name?” George asks.
He is helping us fix the search tool. Every time he speaks or moves, I jump, but I’m trying to hide it.
“Hopefully she can rebrand it…”

Not my preferred genre, a little dark and disturbing. A book of self-realization and coming to terms with others and one’s self. Makes you think though and I’m sure I’ll be dwelling on it for awhile.

Upsettingly relatable 😅 the social interactions! The anxiety! The concern that you're secretly a bad person!
