Loved it, felt like I was just watching another episode. Can't wait to read more.

Easily the best one of these books so far. Not only did it capture the spirit of the show well with a good story and plenty of good horror, but it does something the last few books failed miserably at: stands almost entirely on its own without utilizing too much material from the season of the show it takes place in. It's always been my opinion if you are going to have books that tie in to an ongoing series of movies or shows that those stories should stand mostly on their own so you don't have to remember too many details from something you might not have seen in a bit. This book does that wonderfully with only a smidgen of the season it's set in injected into the main plot. I can only hole the rest of the books going forward are so good.

It was an okay story.

In my opinion there was too less focus on Sam and Dean and too much focus on the OCs for it being a tie-in novel. For example, there was a "scene" in which nightmare after nightmare after nightmare of OCs have been described. One or two, maybe even three? Okay. But not that many. If this would have been an original novel - okay, but in a tie-in novel I expect the focus to be on the characters of the show and this wasn't the case in this book. :/

Due to that the beginning of the story was pretty boring for me and I almost gave up on it. The scenes with Sam and Dean were okay and there was one scene that made me happy (Sam and the Veliceraptors).

All in all an okay book.

It was ok but not much development or anything really personal for the characters, which is always one of the main attraction for me to read "canon" novels.

A cool concept, but not well executed. I was excited for Sam and Dean's nightmares to become realities, but all I got was a single nightmare from each and about 27 nightmares from random people I could care less about.

This was yet another fun read in the Supernatural franchise. Though bloodier and with more detailed gore than usual (at least in my opinion) Night Terror was a fast paced, mystery/horror story, with enjoyable side characters. The villain of the story is surprising, and I really enjoyed how the author played with the consequences of our every day fears (or every night fears) becoming reality. I felt that Sam and Dean were slightly, very slightly out of character at some points, but I have noticed also, that reading Sam and Dean can be different than watching Sam and Dean. Otherwise, that is the only complaint I have. And the possibility of having some nightmares of my own. If you are squeamish about bugs, and guts, and giant spiders eating people, I would skip to the next book in the series. John Passarella is a master at describing the blood and gore in almost visceral detail.
