Kind off confusing at times. But the art style is so pretty. I think the message was a little... it could have been showcase better is what I’m saying.

Overall, great art style but the plot needs more developing.

I’ve been playing the same MMO for 2 years and this story felt familiar in that regard. There is something special about the online friendships we form in these kinds of games. Its soooo risky to try to intervene in people’s lives, though, and I feel like this story at least showed some of the pitfalls of being online as a teen.

5/20/17: Edit: Lowering this to 2/5 or 5.5ish/10. The more time goes by, the more disappointed I am with this. It was pretty un-impressive.

6/10.

This graphic novel was fine. I liked the character, I liked the message, I liked the game, and I enjoyed the book. But I can't give this book any higher of a rating, because despite the cool gameplay aspects, it has an incredibly familiar and basic plot. Even though it was over 150 pages, it took me ~30 minutes to read, and I think that fact hurt it a little bit. The text was minimal, which meant it didn't take long to read, which meant that I spent less time with the story, characters, and plot and ultimately means that I won't be as invested in them. However, my main overall complaint is just how basic the plot is. Sure, there's some slight variation, but it's rather basic and felt too simple.

Overal, enjoyable but basic and hard to get invested in, due to such a short read-time.

It actually felt like I was in a game! But the overall plot was a little lacking. The underlying message was too subtle and I’m not 100% sure what commentary I was to take away from it all.

That was super cute! Not at all the story I went in expecting but I think I liked it more than I expected to. Even got teary-eyed a bit when Raymond got fired from his job...and of course when Lucy and Anda got in their fight.

Read for a conference; cute, fun, short.
