Not to be incredibly Former English Major on Main, but I really loved this book on the craft of writing a personal memoir. I haven't read anything by Febos before, but she is an incredibly compelling writer, with a knack for writing about writing that was so compelling and interesting that this short little book just flew by.

Meh. Just not for me. The writing is good, and the subject matter engaging. I just didn’t enjoy the experience of reading it. This is a “it’s me, not the book” situation. YMMV.

A stunning series of pieces on the art and craft of writing. I wasn’t familiar with Febos’ work before reading this, and I’m really looking forward to exploring more.
