Easy run read but can be a bit repetitive. Also afterwards you think about certain things and you’re like …..????? This man had not had relations since highschool but he’s apparently amazing immediately

It was heartwarming. A slow burn grumpy-sunshine

I wanted to love this so bad but Aiden gave absolutely nothing. He was an uncaring jerk most of the time and because of that anything he did that was the bare minimum was overly praised by Van. Like damn girl raise the bar. I don't mind the slow burn but I felt like the interesting parts like their pasts, Vans altercation with her sister, the whole story with Diana were all brushed over while we got scene after scene of them just eating or seeing each other in the house in passing. Some books need to be long but this one did not.

WOW! 5 stars because it kept me interested and was what I needed to read. Such a fun, light hearted, emotional story!! Definitely going to be a new comfort read for me

I realize now that I hate slow burns but it was worth it.

This was not it for me. I would’ve DNF’d had I not been convinced it would give me some of what I was looking for.
Ringing it at just over 500 pages, this book was 480ish pages of ultimate slow burn. Mixed with an MC who literally couldn’t believe in herself if it slapped her in the face, continually expressed her frustration by saying she wanted to stick her fingers up peoples noses and constantly used the pet name “big guy”.
There were so many cringe moments for me, including the 8763512 times the word “idiot” was used. Sometimes it was out of anger, which is gross, sometimes it was used as a term of endearment, which was grosser.
One smouldering sex scene was slightly redemptive, except I never want to here a penis referred to as a pipe again.
Huge disappointment. Moving on.

Vanessa knew she did the right thing when she quit her job as assistant to “the Wall of Winnipeg,” AKA Aiden Graves, one of the country’s best football players. Working for him was the worst, and she has plans for her future that don’t involve that pain in the ass. However, when he arrives on her doorstep with an outrageous and enticing offer, she is sucked back into his world.
This book is a classic enemies-to-lovers, slow-burn romance with lots of witty banter. As Aiden and Vanessa adapt to their fake marriage and discover aspects of each other they didn’t fully understand over the previous two years, they open up in new ways. Like any good slow-burn novel, it is sometimes excruciating, but the payoff is well worth it.
In this new release with an adorable new cover, we are gifted a bonus epilogue set ten years in the future that is a deeply satisfying payoff and correction of one of the hurtful conflicts between Vanessa and Aiden early in the book.

Such a good slow-burn romance! However for me, this was too long with almost not a lot going on but on the other hand it did give you more of a chance to connect with the main characters and suck you into the story more.

Very sweet. I liked from Ivan with love more, but still good! I found myself cheesing a lot.
One sex scene in the last chapter.
Edit: it’s been a week and I still can’t stop thinking about this book. I didn’t realize I would have such a book hangover but I do
