This is a mixed media book of poems and paintings by Eric Gansworth (Onondaga). He is certainly technically capable in both disciplines. There were some poems early in the collection that I found quite powerful and moving. I've never been a big Beatles fan, so I found it harder to relate to his extended poems about them and other pop bands. There is a real north-east U.S. college vibe about a lot of this - very New York. Although I would be hard pressed to say exactly what that means, I suspect some of you out there will feel it as well if you pick this up.
