This was a very cute Christmas story, although there was a bit too much focus on the (very precocious) child rather than the couple for my liking. The character development and background of the heroes was very well-done; they felt like realistic and fully fleshed-out characters. I really liked how weird Wes was and how Adam was openly sensitive and emotional.

Moderate: Emotional abuse and Abandonment

I loved this. It was soft and sweet and just a bit steamy. I honestly loved that it was so warm and cozy. I loved that not only were Wes and Adam’s feelings involved, but so were Gus’. I loved that Gus’ felt like an actual kid. And a weird one at that! I loved that Adam let her explore the world in a way that made her feel confident and that she was able to bond so much with Wes over all the things she loved.
This book really hit me in the feels. It had me tearing up all the time. I loved the coziness and the healing that this little family was going through. Honestly, if this one doesn’t hit you in the feels I don’t know what will. This is getting four and a half out of five stars.
