In my opinion this was much better than the first one, due to the plot being more enjoyable. I was very gripped in this story before the halfway mark, Freida sure knows how to keep things suspenseful. Loved the difference in pov and the parallels between the prologue and epilogue throughout the book.

The plot twist was phenomenal! I didn't see that coming at all. Unlike with the Housemaid, I figured out the plot twist before it was revealed.

Like the other book in this series, this had lots of twists and turns, many of which I didn’t anticipate. It was interesting and vicious and terrifyingly possible. The characters are a bit unloveable but complex and intriguing.

I thought the Housemaid was great but actually enjoyed the Housemaid's Secret more. I predicted some of the story but was definitely surprised by some of it. I would highly recommend reading the Housemaid before this story so you don't spoil any twists for yourself.
