In my opinion this was much better than the first one, due to the plot being more enjoyable. I was very gripped in this story before the halfway mark, Freida sure knows how to keep things suspenseful. Loved the difference in pov and the parallels between the prologue and epilogue throughout the book.

The plot twist was phenomenal! I didn't see that coming at all. Unlike with the Housemaid, I figured out the plot twist before it was revealed.

Like the other book in this series, this had lots of twists and turns, many of which I didn’t anticipate. It was interesting and vicious and terrifyingly possible. The characters are a bit unloveable but complex and intriguing.

How has Freida McFadden managed to write two 5 star books in a row (the first book and sequel). No cuz I expected this to be like 4 stars or something just not as good as the original. HOW DID I NOT SEE THE PLOT TWIST COMING??? I LUV U MILLIE 💕 I will be a Frieda McFadden follower from now on. The execution of the plot and the twists and oh my gosh they’re placed so well!!!!
