This book was provided free from the author in return for an honest review via the Goodreads Don't Buy My Love Program. I have not read the other books in this series and I don't believe that that impacted me being able to enjoy this book. Logan and Clay are in a committed relationship and things are going well for them professionally as well. Until their Captain, Hayden, decides that members need to be shifted around as too many on this team are in relationships. Clay's new team mate is a very loud homophobic bully. It was sick what was done to Clay. It was hard to watch Clay flounder and not reach out for the help he needed thinking he needed to take care of this on his own. Their journey back to each other was well written and realistic. They both had issues they had to work through. Sweet ending for these two.

Brilliant Dom and Sub book and series.
I love reading about Logan and his submissive, Clay.. Fantastic writing of scenes and of the feeling of both characters emotions they go through..esp with Clay's almost rape scene and what happens after.
Logan's and Clay are deeply in love and are a Dom and Submissive relationship. They both work as a part a team for the Police SWAT in confronting tough situations.
Clay's new at the BDSM life and still learning new things. Both are out at work which makes it hard for them as their Captain has it in for them. What happens when their captain splits up their team? Moving a few of them out of the team and placing new members in places Clay in jeopardy. Clay stays silent with what happens at training placing him in a downward spiral..
This is a great read my heart went out to Clay.. Highly recommended.

I had not read "The Sergeant" before starting this book, but it did not influence my reading of An Officer's Submission. You may miss the typical initial romance of a relationship, but this story is all about the trials, the struggles a developing relationship has to face and master in order to grow into a steady deep connection between two strong-willed cops. Be aware that some readers may feel pretty uncomfortable with the trigger event faced by Clay, but I think situations like that do happen and the author has described well Clay's downfall and the consequences on an emotional level for both MC's and their friends. The story was therefore very intense and I liked that Logan was able to push aside the D/s aspects of their relationship in order to allow Clay to recover and return to be himself before playing again.
Overall I really enjoyed this story about real men and real problems, and I will certainly pick-up all the other instalments of this series.

Series finishes up with a flourish

This is a nice rounding off for Logan and Clay as they have to fight to work out external pressures in their relationship.

The BDSM throughout this series has been well done in my limited, based on reading only, experience and I've enjoyed finding out more about the scene through these books.

Logan and Clay's relationship has been well developed and realistic and this book is no exception.
