The Family Compound is a property of 150 acres in Stowe, Vermont with two houses. It was built in the 1960s and passed down from one generation to another. Now that everyone in the "parents" generation has passed away, the "kids," all in their thirties and forties and from two families of cousins, must decide what to do with it. Keeping the Compound is a huge financial undertaking, but selling it would mean saying goodbye to their childhoods.
I had hopes for this book, but I should have known that usually family dramas aren't for me, as I don't care to spend my time reading about people bickering. This was full of bickering and unlikeable people doing unlikeable things, if they were doing anything at all, as not much happens.

Book Review…The Family Compound by Liz Parker
This was a fascinating well written novel full of family drama! Five cousins must band together to decide the future of their shared inheritance the family’s sprawling property in Stowe, Vermont but with each at a different place in life, reaching a unanimous decision seems unlikely.
I read All Are Welcome by Liz Parker and really enjoyed it so when the opportunity came to read this one I jumped at the chance! The story is character driven. The characters have depth, they are fun and flawed. The only thing that I didn't care for was the pace moved around alot but other than that it was a good read and I'll be looking out for some more books by this author. Thank you Over the River Pr and Liz Parker for sharing this book with me!

I just struggled to really care! The writing was great, some of the characters were okay, but the plot just dragged.
