This was a remarkable story. Hyeonseo and her family took on an incredible journey to South Korea. I really appreciated Hyeonseo's recounting of her early life in North Korea, offering a window into a place I know little about. I also appreciated how she detailed the political issues, corruption, language barriers, and culture shock she and other North Korean defectors experienced as they left. I only regret that I listened to this as an audiobook given it was narrated by a British woman, which just seemed wrong. But, it was such a riveting story, I couldn't wait to get a print copy from the library!
