i did not vibe with this one the way i did the other two in this series but i did like it nonetheless

i usually love these friends to lovers books but this one just didn’t do it for me as much. don’t get me wrong i love jasper and sloane both but the whole story didn’t get me all too invested.

their relationship is absolutely adorable and seeing them fix each other in a sense was beautiful but not my fav of the series.

Tropes: Hockey Romance, Friends to Lovers, Small Town Romance, Found Family, Unrequited Love, One Bed

TW: Loss of Sibling (Past), Cheating (Not MC), Missing person, Bullying (Past), Domestic Abuse (Past), Anxiety, Abandonment (Past), Child neglect, Mention of Suicidal Ideation, Grief, PTSD, Fatal Car Accident (Past)

Sloane has had a crush on Jasper since she first saw him move into her cousin's ranch. Jasper is pretty closed off to the people around him -- he didn't have a great past. When Sloane decides to leave her fiancé on their wedding day, Jasper is there and the two of them spend a lot of time together as Sloane picks herself up and decides what to do.

We need to protect Jasper at all costs -- he is so sweet and caring under all the broodiness, especially for Sloane. The way that these two were SOULMATES. They had such a perfect understanding of each other, and I was literally at the edge of my seat waiting for them to give in and confess their feelings towards each other. UGH THERE WAS SO MUCH TENSION. This book was more emotional than the first 2 books but it is definitely worth the read. Jasper had such a dirty mouth for a man who spoke few words. I was not expecting him to be THAT dirty. I'm slowly making my way through this series, and I'm excited to start the next book!

Favorite Quotes:
"You're not just tattooed on my skin. You're branded on my heart. Woven into the fiber of my being. The most constant and reassuring person in my life. When I close my eyes, I see you. When you're away from me, I dream about you."

3.5 ⭐️

I really enjoyed this book, I had no idea it was the 3rd in the series but I don’t think that made a difference. But I have a few things:

1.) he told her about how his sister died and he felt responsible so she……started dancing?

2.) he’s been all moody, broody, sad guy his whole life and then just instantly changes, I get the reasoning but it doesn’t make a ton of sense

3.5 ⭐️ I went into this book thinking it was going to be the best in the (5 book) series after i’d heard such raving and high praise reviews of it. But honestly, I didn’t like it as much as the first two, hence why it took me a month to read because I was starting and finishing other books during me reading this one! I still did like the storyline, as you are able to connect even more with the family and ranch and I love being able to hear about the funny comments and how tight knit they are and help each other, and I loved finding out about Sloane and Jaspers life stories. BUT I just don’t think it’s as good as the first two. However I cannot fault Elsie Silver and I shall be picking up the next two in the series and every other book she has ever written

This was so cute oh my god! Loved seeing these characters evolve, only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because it was a bit slow too begin with. Other than that, Perfect!!
