Such a cute little book about feminism. Princess meets prince, falls in love. Prince gets captured by a dragon. Dragon destroys everything before he lives. Princess finds a paper bag, wears it and goes on after the dragon to rescue her prince. Princess tricks dragon and rescues prince. Prince is ungrateful so prince loses princess. He really didn't deserve her. And she doesn't need him. So boy, bye.

Very quick and to the point read. Don't mess with this princess. My daughter loved it. The art is nice and the story is good

Nice subversion of gender norms, and published in the 80s no less! The last page had 6yo and me in fits of laughter. An excellent read

One of my new favorite readings for children. Because this princess can trick a dragon, save a boy, and refuse her arranged marriage with only the clothes on her back.

Dragon kidnaps prince, princess' clothes reduced to ashes so she embarks on a quest to save prince while wearing paper bag, prince is saved but he turns out to be a dirtbag, princess says deuces and leaves him.
I like this story. It is so rare to have a male damsel in distress and a children's book character who doesn't just settle for the prince.

The best part of this book is the end. Her line is killer. If I were a princess, I would be her.
Trash fashion, witty one-liners, tiring out my enemies without lifting a finger...
