Loved the characters, both main and side characters are such believable, real human beings. The humour is great and the banter between characters is really fun. The two main characters have great chemistry. However I thought the plot was a bit silly, I'm not a huge fan of fake dating, so I didn't enjoy it as much as Get a Life, Chloe Brown.
I am looking forward to reading the third one though.

Cute and I did love the whole fake dating thing. But the book was 100 pages too long. And there were a couple instances where the characters — as adorable as they were with each other — were needlessly rude to other people. Why?
I really enjoyed the first book, but not sure I’ll continue on.

3.5 stars rounded down—a little repetitive at times, yet still heartwarming. not my favorite but I still enjoyed getting to know the characters

Of all the books in the Brown series, this one is my favorite! I found Dani's independence relatable and her goal of just wanting to have some fun with a hot guy. And, naturally, the hot guy turns out to be such a walking green flag and he likes romance books too? ::swoon:: Do men like this exist IRL? Listening to British narrators always makes me think a story won’t be super spicy—but wow, there were definitely some steamy moments! Big fan of that. I’m a fan of witty banter, and this book delivered. It follows the fake dating-to-relationship trope (look at me picking up #BookTok lingo!), which can sometimes feel predictable, but I really enjoyed the diverse characters and found myself giggling the whole time. #Rugbae
