Caleb and Avery's story.

This story embraces one of the most over-used tropes of the military-special ops romances - the gal what done him wrong.

Avery was Caleb's boss at the lab but she fired him - she (according to him) put her promotion over him. She of course sees it differently.

Caleb wakes up one morning when his home-made alarm goes off, but instead of a burglar or an enemy his intruder is Avery. Avery has been working with Rod and he told her if she couldn't contact him she should go to Caleb. Avery has been analysing the DNA of missing witsec women for Rod.
