My child is evidence enough for me that this book was my savior!

This has become my number one resource for all things baby. I highly recommend it, especially as an introduction and explanation of attachment parenting styles. Though attachment parenting is promoted, he also talks about following your intuition and doing what is best for your family. Dr. Sears is very knowledgeable and offers a lot of helpful advice.

Did not finish.
This book was so new age but at the same time blindingly heteronormative in its assumptions about who makes babies and how they behave before the baby.
Also, it has a spirit or "each baby has their own needs and you do what works for you B-U-T know that if you carry your baby on you 24/7 and only breastfeed them, they will be smarter and stronger and more empathic than most human beings, but NO PRESSURE, keep raising your child in the 21st century"
Ugh.

Worth it for the acetaminophen/ibuprofen dosing charts alone. I generally agree with the parenting approach, and found such reinforcement reassuring as a new parent. The treatment suggestions for common ailments are still helpful and practical, and I especially appreciate the small, positive section on Down syndrome.

Another book to dip into, I think a little intense for my taste.

A great reference. Although the milestones for the first year seem a little on the advanced side. It's answered a lot of questions for a first-time mom and is also giving me insight into the next phases.

This book is so much more friendly for me than most others. Written with commentary from his wife about their experiences raising children as well as medicinal insight and information is very helpful! I highly recommend this for the parent who's looking for a more baby-focused approach to getting through the first few years.
