This was sad and funny at the same time. Very hard topics are discussed and brought up, but I enjoyed the discussion on poverty, drug abuse, addiction, preconceived judgements and simply the deep humanity of every person. It’s not a light read, but somehow brought a lot of smiles out of me.

I really enjoyed this book. Definitely one of my favorite CoHo books yet. The love story between Beyah and Samson is so sweet and shows that two broken souls coming together can truly heal each other. This book dives deep into not judging a person based on assumptions from the outside and that you never really know what someone is going through. It also reminds me how grateful I am for parents who have loved me unconditionally since day 1 and have cheered me on. Great story and it made me happy!

Colleen Hoover writing an almost non-toxic male lead? Someone call the BBC. Heavy on that 'almost' though. A good book. It had very cute, summery romance vibes, and if I had to guess I'd definitely say this would be a good beach read. Maybe I should've saved this one for the summer.

i liked the story, and the characters, and the plot twist, and the friendships/relationships. so many good quotes on this book. i love a spicy book also, and this one didn’t disappoint (though i love that it wasn’t the focus of the story!!!) another slay by Hoover!
