If you work in politics, particularly in an advisory capacity, this book will boost your morale and remind you that the work is worth it.
Full of incredible first hand accounts and reminders of the importance of public service, this book is a historical look back from a perspective not typically seen.

Well done! A very interesting and informative look at a crucial WH position. I really appreciated hearing about the administrations I didn't remember.

This was a great look at the modern chief of staffs and the role they played in the presidencies they served. It's fascinating and well written. The chronological order was a great structure. This book could have been a lot longer and still been enjoyable. I would have liked a longer into and conclusion, but it was a great read written in broad strokes.
