HOLY CRAP
literally went on a ride with this book. Hannah, again shoutout her, lent me this book and it was just soooooooo crazy. I didn’t see any of it coming!
I’m so happy that Eve got what she so desperately deserved, Alex got her happy ending, and Kate is just there yanno.
So glad I read this book. Literally insane still omg. Someone get me in touch with Sheldon. I got to poke this mans mind.

This book holds a special place in my library because it is one of the first "adult" novels I read. It's a good story with strong characters and a twisted plot. It does read a little like a overindulgent drama with too many coincidences for my taste, but those coincidences do set up very good stories. The voice is strong and while the reader is privy to all the dirt in every characters life I think it's hard not to empathize with some, if not most, through Sheldon's writing style

This book was such a captivating read, a great way to debut into the works of Sidney Sheldon! Excellent fast paced and well written plot-lines, story that spans across generations with entirely different landscapes geographically, financially and politically, covering the extremes of all these spheres.
The story mainly revolves around the Kruger-Brent Ltd of how it came into existence and what a gigantic firm it has grown into seizing every opportunity with astute business skills. Additionally, the author also has a great arc for all of his characters setting the right premise.
Overall, an enticing read for anyone and one would not regret picking this up! :)
