Mafia Romance
First person
Dual POV
Bodyguard romance
Forced proximity

This book follows a different child in the mafia family and jumps straight into the action. A always appreciate that the previous book give a decent amount of set up for whoever is the focus of the next book all while also giving cameos of the ones earlier in the series.

I enjoyed this book but obviously the usual i got a little anxiety but this book was different it felt less tense than the last one’s for me and it actually felt more how do i put it it felt more genuine i mean the description of the feelings in this book were so cute you get allot of emotion in this book and its more happy then sad plus I've never read a book with a country boy/girl main character so that was new for me and i enjoyed it i honestly enjoyed this book more than i thought i would i knew i would like it but i didn't know i would really enjoy it like i did i do still favor Stolen heir out of all of them so far and in the book i was so happy for the ending were you see all the other couples and parents and familys from the previous books in the brutal birthrights series i got the illustrations edition and i loved that family picture of the Griffins and Gallos in the beginning that was cute overall i rated this book 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Riona is an extremely good character, but I feel this book didn't do her justice. Too much of this book concentrated it self around Raylans family, and I really didn't care about them at all 🥲 Love Raylan tho.

I'm looking forward to the series finally with Sebastian!

This book felt a little out of place in the series, I think it was due to the setting. That said, I did enjoy it. It is a mafia & bodyguard romance mixed with a small town romance feel.

Riona is the middle child of head of the Irish Mafia in Chicago. She is strong, stubborn, and smart. She is the family's lawyer and keeps her hand relatively clean. One evening she is attacked in the swimming pool in her apartment building, someone tried to drown her and make it look like an accident. someone has hired a Hitman to kill her. Dante arranges for Raylan to be her bodyguard. To keep her safe Raylan brings her to his family's Ranch in Tennessee.

I really enjoyed the chemistry between Riona and Raylan. Their personalities play off of each other really well and he really helped her to discover what she wanted. I also loved seeing more glimpses of the other siblings and the Gallos (especially the wedding!).

Unfortunately, I did see the big twist coming pretty early in the book, so I wasn't surprised when the culprit behind hiring the hitman was revealed.

That barn scene tho...🌶️

Tropes: Reverse grumpy-sunshine, mafia, bodyguard, small town
