Turner Hastings uses the opportunity a bank robbery provides her to do a little stealing of her own. She empties out her bosses safe deposit box and makes sure the bank cameras catch every move. Now the FBI is on her trail and Turner finds herself falling for the very Special Agent in charge.

Good, sparkling dialogue. Loved the building of their relationship through phone calls. And the author got the Wisconsin settings mostly right.

I wish the author would change the cover and rerelease this title because it was so amazing

I picked this up at the bookstore (hooray for gift cards!) based soley on the fact that is stars a librarian who takes matters into her own hands during a bank robbery and pulls a different heist of her own. Special Agent John MacKinnon is hot on her trail and determined to get his woman. I enjoyed the wacky cast of characters, the dog she rescues while committing a crime, and the quicky building tension between Turner and John through a series of phone conversations only. Cheeseheads will be happy to know that it is set in Wisconsin, librarians should be forewarned that other than being called "the librarian" and taking note of the books on a certain FBI agent's nightstand, there is isn't much librarianship involved.

I would have given this a higher rating if there would have been a little more realism in terms of their developing relationship and law enforcement ethics. Oh, well, that is why this is escapism fiction! Consider this a fun, super steamy mix of Nora Roberts and lite-Suzanne Brockmann. I look forward to reading more by this author.

I thought this was a pretty good contemporary romance by an author that is also Elizabeth Hoyt. The characters were likeable and the plot was not too predictable. My only complaint was that there was not enough racy parts.

I won this book in a giveaway on GoodReads.

When two bumbling burglars hold up the bank, bank-teller Turner Hastings takes the opening to do what she's been waiting for: grab the evidence to clear her wrongfully accused uncle of embezzlement. When her daring doesn't pay off, she goes on the run, determined to see it through. The wrench in her plans is Agent John MacKinnon, the federal agent hot on her tail.

This was an entertaining read. I liked the interplay between Turner and MacKinnon. In the first half of the book, they communicate in a series of phone calls with cute interplay. There's a strong attraction between them and they clearly enjoy the battle of wits and the chase. I felt things sort of slowed down once they met and had sex. The banter toned down and the characters kind of felt more flat. I came away from the book realizing that I didn't know really anything about the characters outside of the surface and the adventure. I did like the plot and the antagonist. I hated the two bank robbers. Any scene with them was excruciating and painfully unfunny to read. It was a black spot on an otherwise charming book.

I was really into this book for about 4 hours and then... More and more sexual graphic talk that I just was embarrassed reading this book. The plot was interesting and the motivation behind Turner's theft was noble. I thought I liked Turner but then she would talk to John and John was so stupid. He liked her sexually right away and talked to her that way on the phone everyday. It was ridiculous! What kind of FBI agent are you! I've read sex scenes before so the ones in here shouldn't surprise me so much but to me they just were too much especially listening to it. I didn't expect this book to have this so that was my bad...

For me this was a better than average romance. The first chapter was unusual and got me hooked. I just wish folks would give up on the librarian stereotype. I should have a sense of humor about this, but I don't have a bun or a "repressive librarian voice".
