Couldn’t force myself to keep going. Stopped at 32% read. I definitely don’t think there was enough meat in the books to start spreading out the POV into Cait, Tommy and Maura either. I was barely reading for Declan. Not often that I completely give up on a book but I have too many others on my TBR list to waste any more time on this series. Just doesn’t do it for me

This was an ok read. I still miss some more plot and I am not a big fan of insta love.

Holy crap. I cannot not believe I loved book two that much more than book one! This multi-POV pirate tale full of magic, betrayal, and intrigue keeps you enthralled until the last page! I really loved how the author strongly developed each character as well as each subplot so strongly. I never thought I’d love someone more than Aoife and Declan, but Cait and Adler might be right up there with them! I have no idea how I’m going to wait until next year for book three!

Drawn in by book 1, but book 2 had far too many POVs and the "side characters" had the longest chapters. I skimmed so much of this book. Won't read the 3rd.

I liked the book, I love how there were other romantic stories besides Aoife and Declans. The story plot and the twists, I found them interesting. However there were a lot of chapters that dragged on too much making it difficult to stay reading. The different point of views were a little tricky to follow for me. I'm glad I was able to finish it and excited to read the next.

Any book that can add in New Girl references- especially in a pirate novel is automatically top shelf!

This book, I loved getting more POVs with the all the characters. Some, I wanted to stay with longer than we were allowed. Again with the cliffhangers- August is gonna be a long wait.

I was still holding out hope from book one that Declan wasn’t the one or there were more secrets to be found out.

I loved Cait this go around and finding more about Lucan and Adler. I definitely need and want more of them. And what they are up to.

I’m so happy that we got to see Tommy as a lead and finding some love on his own.

Aoife is becoming a strong, more confident woman. I like getting more of her history (as well as more history about everything in the world).

Declan- what an awful time he had throughout the book. My heart breaks for him and everything that he had to witness or partake in. (Poor Killian)

Reread: Man, I think I love it more this time around, if that's possible. Caught even more New Girl references. And I caught so many more little details about the characters.

Vanessa knows how to write torture. Man, I feel like I could picture that scene very vividly with everything she wrote.

I love Adler so much. Swoon. Cait is such a strong, stubborn lady.

Declan and Aoife- they are growing and trying to find themselves without getting lost in their darkness.

So much adventure in this book.
