J. Saman is one of my favorite romance authors! This new book didn't no disappoint in the slightest! I loved that a good portion of the book took place in a college setting. It was a nice change of pace from the previous books I've read of hers!

J. Saman once again has created a strong back story for both main characters, as well as a strong female MC. I love that she isn't giving up her entire life to follow a man around, but both characters have equal footing. I find it's hard to find romance novels that aren't over the top unbelievable or woman just giving up everything to be with their one true love. It's a major reason why I love J. Saman's books so much!

I highly recommend!

Oh, Love!

Lyric and Jameson. I loved the way their relationship developed throughout this book. The way they had a relationship, but took forever to admit that they loved each other was a journey that took so long. The story took my heart on a roller coaster ride, and I was rooting for them the entire time, even though I was afraid it wasn’t going to happen. Jameson. All I have is two words. The box.

So good

Wow! I am hooked by Julie's writing. This book has all the feels. Friendship to lovers and 2nd chances. I wanted to shake Jameson. Boys can be so dumb sometimes. I stayed up almost all night to read this. What a page turner.

Jackson and Lyric have known each other since kindergarten but never really got close.  When she transfers to his college their junior year they start hanging out under the guise that Jackson needs a tutor.  They become inseparable even though neither one of them wanted a relationship.  Everything was perfect until it wasn't.  Now four years later Jackson is ready to win Lyric back.

I wanted to love this one but I just didn't like Lyric.  While I agreed with some of her issues, I didn't like her approach and she just wasn't likeable to me.  I never connected with her.   I did love Jackson though.  He carried this book for me.  I wish that there was more of the after and less of the before.  Would have liked to see more of them reconnecting and rebuilding.  Also wasn't a fan of how abruptly the story ended.  Overall, it was an okay read.

[3.75 Stars] A good read, but I wished the plot was more present-day with flashbacks than over half the story in the past and half present day. I enjoyed the characters but also felt the ending was abrupt. I liked the author’s writing style so I will probably read more by her.

I received an e-ARC from the author for an honest review.

I've always loved J. Saman's books. Her books are some of the good stuff that I look forward to read at any given point in time. So when she emailed me in February, asking me if I would review Reckless Love for her, I was thrilled. I didn't even read the synopsis. I just dove right into it and it was the best choice ever.

This story revolves around two characters, Lyric and Jameson. This is the story of their life, their friendship and eventual relationship and the messiness of love and life. That's it. It's a simple story but written very expressively and with so much love flowing between the words. Love for what, is still unclear to me, but if I had to guess, I think it was the love for the story that Ms. Saman had while she was writing. This book makes me harder to pick my favourites among her books. It's a tie. All her books win.

We get flawed characters, a peek into the music industry, emotions, daily struggles in life, and the elements of romance in this book are really beautiful to read.

If you haven't picked up J. Saman's book up until now (I mean, seriously, why haven't you?) go pick this up right now! It released on June 22, and I am late to the party but I am here.

Rating: 4.5/5
Recommendation: Romance lovers should not miss this! Like, really.

This is JUST what I needed. After reading so many dark, angsty stories, I really just needed something light and sweet. This did not disappoint at all. My heart is full.

Although Lyric and Jameson have no each other most of their lives, Lyric didn’t like that Jameson was a player and even though she had a crush on them she stayed away from him. Then when she goes to college she’s surprised that Jameson is in one her classes. Jameson asks for Lyric’s help and spending more time together the slowly become more.
With the Prologue we know that it doesn’t last, Lyric is still heartbroken over what happened and when she gets the message from Jameson, she tries to fight going to see him, he says the right things, I miss you, the things she always wanted.
Jameson only ever wanted Lyric, all he wants is another chance but will she give him one.
