Kiiiitschig, kitschig, kitschig, kitschig!

"Everything’s a risk. Not doing anything is a risk. It’s up to you."

Overhyped.
Honestly, I liked the movie, it wasn't terrible. This might be the first time I say that the movie was better than the book.
Most of the chapters were just one liners ? A lot of the things she says make no sense. I wish I could give examples but I read that book so fast to get it over with that I didn't bother jotting them down.

The ending is what made me so mad, even though I've seen the movie and I was expecting it, somehow the delivery just made it worse.
The fact that she was so sick for her entire life but threw that all out to window and acted so recklessly didn't make sense to me, especially for a boy (not man) that does backflips, and she's impressed by it.
For a teen that was secluded from the teenage life, she acts so immature it's surprising. From the whole falling in love with the first boy you see, to ignoring your mom for that said boy, to the risking your life and millions of dollars that went into your health for A BOY.

The positives was that the main character was half Japanese half African American, which is different. The book does have some illustrations, they're not amazing but i always appreciate some, and it's actually a great plot (if it wasn't ruined by the ending). Overall, If you want to read it I'd recommend just watching the movie.
Everything everything about this book left me unsatisfied.

I watch the movie when it first came out years ago and I finally got around to reading the book. My opinion is that the movie is better than the book. They definitely made the movie more interesting.

Slightly a bit to YA but I still enjoyed it.

Everything everything was such a lovely book with a plot twist at the end that if I’m honest, did not see coming. Although part of me I must say wished it hadn’t, I can’t say why without giving away too much, but I would have like to have seen how it went, how the characters learned to live with things if it didn’t go that way. (I know what I’m trying to say but I can’t seem to get in into words without spoilers

I Finally Read it Holy shit!!! I love most of the book, bout wasn't fond of the ending. I love Madeline and all her cute quirkiness, I've completely fallen for Olly and Carla is my ride or die. I hate that I was forced to leave these character with the ending I was given but it doesn't change the way I feel in the slightest.
