This book would have been great were it not for the near rhymes, like "Gophers sit on sofas" and "Mules sit on stools."

Has off rhymes that are unhelpful to a new reader. Very repetitive. Children lost interest.

It was pretty good for storytime. It is silly and has lots of rhymes. It might be best for kids a little older (4+) because they have to understand the rhymes.

Silly good fun. I thought I might be learning a lesson in here about societal norms (and I'm sure you could read that into this) but the end surprised me. I laughed through this. The illustrations are simple but funny and bright. It's exactly the kind of picture book that would have been my absolute favorite when I was maybe in the 4-6 years old range.
