The first book in The Souls trilogy had me on edge. Greatly written characters, it also definitely had the spice. I say it is medium paced as it takes a little while for the plot to really unfold, even though relationship wise goes a little quicker. I fell in love with Leon (MMC) and also found a new love for books written in dual POV. The plot was good, the character development was good. Overall good book. Good read. Will definitely go back to it.

I ate this book up! It had everything mystery and romance! My first demon/cult book and definitly not my last because I loved this book it was dark and just kept me captivated the whole fricking time! I would recommend it if you like dark romance because the romance was so good and spicy like really spicy!

This is one of the most anticipated book(since 2021) and not gonna lie with the obvious rating, this didn’t stick out to me. But Leon carried the book.

Yet here I was, trusting a monster with it 

A monster who'd already saved my life more than once.

Rae seemed almost childlike and reckless especially after the many times Leon tried to warn her about the Hadleighs and her being in danger; and also filming Leon in his true form contemplating on posting online. Like girl…. Bffr. So dumb that I wished I could shake her to wake tf up. She stressed me out sometimes.
I will gladly give my soul to Leon. Hypothetically…

some more juicy Leon:
"Your mouth is perfect. Your body is perfect. Your mind, that damned curious mind, is perfect." His hold on me wasn't gentle, but the kiss he laid on my forehead was. "You're mine, even if you don't believe it. And I treasure what's mine. Now, open your fucking mouth."

I'd left my marks on her neck, but scrubbing myself down with her soap was going to mark me too. How the hell was I supposed to handle that without craving her? She'd infested my mind. She had me desperate to possess her.

The moment she'd looked at me with those wide, defiant brown eyes and told me to do it, I knew I was fucked for this woman. Foolishly, madly fucked. When she made herself my willing victim, I wanted to steal her away back to Hell right then and there.

Give me a demon or man like Leon any day, please 🙏 

This book had me hooked from the beginning and I loved every page of it. Rae was annoying as she was just walking into danger like it was a sign saying "we're open" but I get it kinda cause I do love a good mystery. Especially if there is a devastatingly handsome demon there to save me.
