Good story and interesting characters, but I’m surprised that this isn’t listed as YA.

I haven't cried this much during a book since I read The Fault In Our Stars. I have the ebook, but I NEED the paperback sitting on my bookshelf.

A little jewel of a book: heart-warming, heart-wrenching, and beautifully written.

If I can give this book more than 5 stars, I would.

I stayed up until 4 in the morning to finish this book and I didn't regret one bit. This was most definitely the most beautiful novel I've ever read, I cried so much during sad tears and happy tears.

“Because terrible things happen to everyone, Brosey. We’re all just so caught up in our own crap that we don’t see the shit everyone else is wading through.”

“Thank you [God,] for making even ugly things beautiful.”

Wow.

Books like this make me want to live life better, fuller. To love more and worry less and just.. enjoy it all more.

This was such a beautiful story with so much depth and emotion and meaning. Seeing Fern and Ambrose experience life and learn and grow was so good and so inspiring.

And Bailey? I loved him and the absolute light he was! He taught me so much in the short space of this book.

It’s easy to get caught up in life and all our problems. But truly, life is short. And we need to be kind and make the most of it.

Amy wrote a touching story with real people, real events, and real problems. But also real hope and real light. And it is lovely.

“But whether or not they chose to take a step into the unknown, the unknown would still come.”

“But that’s the cool thing about friendship. It’s not about being perfect, or even being deserving. We love you, you love us, so we’ll be there for you.”

“He was a jock with a poet’s soul, and the heroes in Fern’s novel had nothing on him. Nothing.”

“Maybe the whys aren’t answered here. Not because there aren’t answers, but because we wouldn’t understand the answers if we had them.”
