A great book to use with students to help them understand racism. I pulled a lot of the info and activities for my Health classes. <3

This is a fabulous book for middle grade and young adults (probably middle and high school ages). It explains complex concepts in racism, breaking down things for the younger audience. After most chapters there is a journaling exercise that reminds me of an age appropriate version of Me & White Supremacy. I like that it gives the audience action items with examples.
Note about the kindle version: it’s not formatted for the Kindle. My copy had numerous typos, there was a section in the middle where pages were missing and I had to do an overview to skip ahead to continue. I definitely recommend this in physical book form.

A book on how to be anti-racist for people OF ALL AGES! This book is extremely well-written and explains several different concepts in an easy-to-understand manner that even young children will be able to discuss. A very important read.

A great beginner's guide to this important and necessary topic. More middle grade than young adult. Engaging and interactive in format and layout with a variety of colors, boxes, and fonts. Could be distracting for someone who just wants to read.
